@nobudgetbabe: Here are my top 4 money tips for people in their 30s who feel like they've fallen behind, and want to get un-stuck. It is not too late to be rich. I went from $40k debt to a millionaire at 30, now I teach others how its done. 1. If you're feeling like you can't save money, then we either have an expenses problem or an income problem. Write out your fixed expenses, these are the things you HAVE to pay for every month. If they're higher than 60% of your income, you won't have the flexibility to save. 2. Calculate your never have to work again number, even if you "love your job", choosing to work is a luxury you want to afford. To do this take your desired annual spend, and multiply is by 25. This is how much you'd need to never work again. It may seem high, but when you put your money in the right places it works FOR you and makes you rich. 3. Start investing - time, not money, is your most valuable asset due to compound interest. Building a $100k investing account by 35 can grow to over $1M by traditional retirement without you ever saving another dollar, because you gave it enough time to grow. The longer you wait, the more you'll have to save. I have a free investing masterclass, on my website under FREEBIES to help you get started. 4. Stop letting your employer under pay you - the easiest way to save more money is to make more money, and the easiest way to make more without working harder is by learning how to negotiate. My students have gotten 10%, 20% and even 30% more just by learning how to ask for their worth.
