I heard that it’s best to go through regional center. I haven’t tried it myself, but I’m going to try it to see you if that helps.

I honestly think it has to do with the age of the child. bc you get paid for the things they need help with like bathing. cooking for them. dressing

My sons doctor put no on that question and would not change it and i had regional center fill out the paper work and then got approved!

Yes, you can get both SSI and IHSS but it can be tricky qualifying both medically and financially. because it's income base.

I got denied twice and told that because he’s my son it’s my job to take care of him. I shouldn’t have to get paid to do it.

Do not go through her Dr is he is not supportive. Go through a different specialist, like the Autism Assessment Center. It’s how I got IHSS for my son
