@babycenter: For Black women in America, breastfeeding often comes with a lot of obstacles – including a lack of support and resources, inflexible jobs, and structural racism. Statistics show that Black moms are less likely to start breastfeeding and continue nursing for 6 or 12 months than any other racial or ethnic group in the United States. This week is #BlackBreastfeedingWeek, which is intended to amplify, promote, and support Black breastfeeding. Doula and BabyCenter Medical Advisor @Miosha McDaniel explains more about why this awareness week is so important and a little about her own personal journey as a Black mother in America. #blackbreastfeeding #blackbreastfeedingmom #worldbreastfeedingweek #worldbreastfeedingmonth #breastfeeding #breastfeedingmoms #breastfeedinglife #breastmilk #breastmilktiktok #postpartum #postpartummom #postpartumlife
