In my town in the north of England, a lot of cumbric words are still used along side English.

Isn't some of the language preserved in Welsh? we call a girl " merch" which is like the word daughter-tax " mercheta"

As a cumbrian you do see a few of remains of it and you've got a lot of dialect aswell tho I wish the language was still about

I live in Cumbria and my family on my mum's side is farming, I remember I used to hear them count in cumbric
