@benjmcintosh: I think the skill you develop most by having a sibling with Down Syndrome is patience. Having the patience to allow them to do their thing in their own time is super crucial for development. After all, no-one ever learns from allowing something to be done for them every single time. It can be frustrating at times, knowing how easy you could make their life just by doing it for them, but, in the long run, thats not really going to help their independence in any way. I genuinely forget how long ago this photo was taken…. HOWEVER, it is around 15 years old give or take. #Siblings #downsyndrome #wholesome
