to disassemble motors and put back together accurately whether it be stock or upgraded takes precise skills. I simply don't trust the avg tech.

The worst part about camshaft metal is that it’s hard, so it damages anything it touches. Aluminum isn’t so bad

Did cam and 8 lifters on 4.8@ per warranty company instructions. Came back 5 weeks later w lower end knock. Then replaced engine, paid twice$$

we do the same thing at our dealership. we see a bunch of rams with a 5.7 with a bad cam and lifters. we give the the option to repair or replace.

I mean, it’s an LS you didn’t really have to even look at the metal to know it needs a cam, they need a cam and lifters off the assembly line
