My husband works repairing appliances. He told me to just throw that packet into the bottom of the dishwasher and not to use the dispenser 🤷🏼♀️

I recently learned the packets just get thrown in the dishwasher not put in the dispenser. That’s for powder/liquid

I sometimes accidentally block the packet door from opening by putting something too tall in front of it! (Like a cutting board or pan)

Doors don’t work. I have always hunked them ti the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, use cascade pods for cleanest.

We always throw pods into the bottom. Repair man (rack busted) said they work better that way and only use door for liquid detergent.

I'm not Renae or anything but I agree it's probably the bowls blocking the door. But also, using powder is super effective and cheaper!

the compartment has to be COMPLETELY dry b4 you put the pod in & YES the pod MUST go in the compartment.

If outside of the pods get wet they can get sticky and the dispenser won’t open all the way. Make sure your hands are dry when handle.

I agree that the bowl being placed in front of the dispenser caused it to not fully open to allow it to disengage, but also cascade pods are better

You can put pods in there if you want, I do. My thought is the bowls blocking the water from hitting it. turn them the other way or put on other side

Make sure the compartment is completely dry before putting in the pod in it, or the pod will stick to the sides and won’t fall out when the door opens
