That’s a lot. I’ve had patients get hemodynamically unstable after taking too much off. 5-6 liters is the max I’ve seen and even that can be a lot

my first was 21 liters at once in the ER. after Dio it would vary between 3 to 8 liters a week until about 6 months before my transplant.

I had that done about a month and a half ago they took out 10 L and it was painful I had to sit for a while I had too much space in my gut😖

I have a hospice patient that I’m draining 2000ml twice/wk. We drain to gravity with a suction machine that isn’t turned on. Works great!
