Rating Colorado ski resorts based on how beginner/intermediate friendly they are! ❄️ C O P P E R ❄️ My rating: 6/10 Copper Mountain really impressed me and I think it’s a great option for beginners! Here’s why ⬇️ 👍 Pros: - Beginner-specific area (right off the Kokomo Express) - Organized super well! The right side of the resort is easier, and the closer you get to the left, the harder the terrain gets - There’s a ton of longer greens for when you want to progress - Great food options - Epic views - Laid-back vibe 👎 Cons - Some runs were not groomed. Make sure to check the grooming report before starting your day! - Some of the green runs towards the center were a little advanced for true beginner greens - Copper’s base sits at 9,712 ft. Visitors coming from low altitude might feel it quite a bit. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and take it easy for the first 2 days. - The Lumberjack lift was a little rough. It spits you out quite suddenly and hit me in the butt as it swung around 😅 My favorite runs: 💚 Roundabout 💚 Carefree 💚 Coppertone 💚 Loverly 💚 Soliloquy ⛷️ Here’s what I’d do if I was a first-timer or just a super cautious beginner: 1️⃣ Take the Rugrat, Slingshot, and Glide people movers to get the hang of things. 2️⃣ Once you’re ready for a real lift, take Kokomo Express and practice over and over on Roundabout 3️⃣ Once you’re ready for some longer runs, take the Lumberjack lift and do the upper part of Roundabout. (Be careful getting off this lift! It whips pretty quickly and can hit you if you’re not quick getting off) Feel free to DM me if you have any questions! #coppermountain #skiresort #skiseason #ikonpass
