The most important part of my prep, before getting dressed, doing my hair or my makeup… is getting my voice and mind ready through breathing exercises. I always plan enough time ahead to do these exercises before every speaking event, big or small. And if something happens and I can only do one, I always, ALWAYS, do the last one.
