Travel nursing has lots of pros , however you will still work weekends.. although you can take months off at a time if you do it right

Be prepared to work more weekends as a travel nurse. You typically get stuck with the schedule no one wants.

I’ve done travel/staff/per diem and I’m currently going back per diem. You can make your schedule/not work/travel if you want to.

I love it. I take time off between contracts. On one assignment, I basically worked all weekends but usually it’s every other.

If you’re able to, try travel nursing! The experience is invaluable and will be transferable to whatever you do next. Bedside will always be around!

You’ll see all kinds of schedules. Make sure to ask about how travelers get scheduled. You’ll likely find some that don’t require every other.
