This has been part of my healing journey and six months ago. I had the privilege of having a vocal feminization surgery, which was pretty amazing!!! I feel very thankful I was able to get this surgery and it has done wonders for my psyche but alone my interaction with the world . NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS 💔♥️🪶🪶 - Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit, Transgender, and Gender-Diverse+ MMIWG 1. More than 2380 people participated in the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, some in more ways than one. 1 2. The National Inquiry’s findings supported characterizing acts against Indigenous people, including violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people as genocide. 2 3. Researchers have reported that Indigenous women and girls are 12 times more likely to be murdered or missing than other women in Canada, and 16 times more likely than Caucasian women. 3 4. Indigenous women are sexually assaulted three times more often than non-Indigenous women, and most of the women and children trafficked in Canada are Indigenous. 4 5. In one Ontario study researchers found that 73% of gender-diverse and two- spirited Indigenous people experienced some form of violence, with 43% having experienced physical and/or sexual violence.5 6. Update. Well we made it home last week,after another week at BC Childrens Hospital for Carter’s appointments and tried getting back to normal but unfortunately, had a setback and spent the morning in emerge today to find out that Carter has a broken hand. Unfortunately, we have to wait 10 days to see if it’s healing so if you could send positive energy prayers and love our way it would be appreciated. If after 10 days and it’s not healing, we will have to go back down to Bc Childrens to get it fixed. For now, though he is the happiest kid in the world 🙏🏽♥️🪶 #CarterStrong #StrongestKidIKnow #indigenous #cree #everychildmatters #caregiverlife #thisisus #hospitallife #onehouratatime
