@imaginemichele: By far one of the hardest parts of my grief journey has been when I’ve had to move the extra ashes of my brother. Because I’m an empty nester now, and sort of just navigating through this new life, I’ve moved a few times since my brother passed away. My family bought beautiful tie-dyed pottery to put some of his ashes in so that we could all have some. But, the funeral home gave me the extra ashes. I have been trying to spread them in all of the places my brother has lived or traveled to, but there’s so many different countries… it’s going to take me awhile. So, everytime I move, I have to take a look at this black plastic funeral parlor looking container that holds my little brother’s extra ashes. Because I always use small scatter urns when I travel with him, I haven’t tried to move the extra ones into a larger one. Plus, I just can’t bring myself to. Sometimes I feel like it’s gotten easier to navigate around the loss. And then times like today remind me that it still cuts as deep as it did the day I lost him. #Grief #GriefJourney #SiblingLoss #SiblingLossAwareness #LifeOnTikTok #grieftok #griefjourney💔 #griefjournal
