Hear me out…Keep the goalposts but narrow the distance between the uprights to 10 feet. Backup quarterbacks throw for field goals. On extra points they have to throw with their non-dominant hand.

Counterpoint- there should be more kicking. Fumble? Kick the ball into the end zone and jump on it. About to tackled? Kick it forward. More kicking.

Yes, and instead of kickoffs just start at the 20. It will also save players from injury and usually everyone just watching a touchback
