@kingscapegenius: Yes, sometimes I clean my filter with tap water 🤯⤵️ full text ___________________________________________ Cleaning your filter might be the most controversial topic amaong all the different aquarium enthusiasts 🔥 But why: 👉🏼 most people think there is only one good way 👉🏼 *There is not* 🔥The idea and reason behind is important!!!🔥 ___________________________________________ 👉🏼 If you clean your filter the best way to save a lot of beneficial Bacteria that live inside the filter is by using tank water to clean it 🦠 👉🏼 in my case the tanks are highly planted and everything could run without a filter, this is why I want my filter to help me get out a lot of dirt and keep the water crystal clear🔥 to get there I sometimes use (in my case very good) tap water and fastly ⏩ clean my filter media with lupe warm water 🤙🏼 👉🏼 to cold or to warm water will kill everything beneficial inside your filter, but if you don't mind some dying and having your filter clean tank warm water can be the go to🥰 (so there is nothing wrong in general if you clean your filter with tap water) ➡️ and keep in mind, some people have 2 filters on one tank as it's important for them to get left over food, dirt, ...etc out of the tank ➡️ plus: nowadays you can add beneficial filter bacteria 🧫 by all those amazing different brands into your filter (like I always do) 🥰🔥 ___________________________________________ 👉🏼Hopefully we got this controversial topic explained now and can life happily together and enjoy this awesome hobby how it deserves it🔥🥰 #aquarium #aquascape #aquascaping #freshwateraquarium #aquariumfilter #aquariumfiltration #aquariumfiltercleaning
