in my studio, there’s a barre against a specific wall & it’s the only barre that you’re able to see yourself w/o ppl in your way,it’s the senior barre

my small highschool band does this too, everyone has their seat, do not sit in it. you will be told to move. kinda the same with mallets and sticks

Same with martial arts. line up by highest to lowest belt, higher belt goes first in line/group drills, lower belts get the equipment/put it away etc
