Yes, bloating can be delayed, but typically, it’s the movement of gas and stool in a constipated colon that’s causing the immediate bloat after eating! It takes food ~ two hours to exit the stomach, and the several more to reach your colon, the site of fermentation and any gas production (which would be the cause of bloating).
