Said a whole bunch of nothing it literally raises the water and he shows it

Marc :
In the boat, the tungsten displaces as much water as it weighs. In the water it displaces as much water as it’s volume.

ahh the key is that it starts in a boat. if it started on land, chucking it into the ocean would increase the sea level

the question is misleading

lowers. cause the boat floats, which means heavier objects sinks it further. tungsten is dense/small for its weight. now let's see if I'm right

"technically" doing a lot of heavy lifting here

Ken Arts :
basically you just unload the tungsten so the boat will be lighter and be more buoyant 💀

.......... :
ok do it but this time actually put the tungsten IN the boat not have it pull it under water

Mario Valencia :
It was very entertaining and informative, but for that to happen the boat must be very light weight like in your example

So the boat rises and so does the water 😐

braces buddy :
he had a weight (tungsten) attached to the styrofoam and when it let go the styrofoam rose (obviously) so he is saying the ocean is the tungsten and the boat is the styrofoam. it’s wrong lol

Bennett :
Won’t it stay the same because the tungsten in the boat already displaces the water since the boat is on the water?

Mr Britty Cat :
sadly although technically correct you are wrong sir... the water lowering is temporary while the boat remains present as soon as it isn't the

I didn't understand a thing didn't it rise because there's foam when he removed the foam the water went down what will happen if he just drops thecube

lironking1 :
that's not quite true I've checked that before you put anything in the water were less than after you put the cube in

Hasneel Conico :
that's just cos there's less volume coming from the Styrofoam because its no longer lodged into the water. nothing to do with the tungsten

Goofy blue marshmallow peep :
it's not about density, it's about surface area

mason young :
would this not be the styrofoam displacing the water and not the cube?

isnt IT depending ob the boats density?
