Why aren’t you shoudler checking. Just because you’ve gone past those cars doesn’t mean something isn’t in your ‘blind spot’ can’t just rely on mirror

Some examiners will fail you for raising your hand to say thank you. The correct way is to keep your hand on the steering wheel and raise your fingers
