Most likely you just need to clean the filters, which will reduce smell, increase suction, and extend battery life! See detailed steps below!!! Clean pre filter, exhaust filter (built into the lid on my model), and dust separator at least once a month to prevent loss of suction. Before performing maintenance, turn off, empty dust bin, and remove battery!!! 1) remove all filters from your vacuum. If you are unsure where all the filters may be, Google or refer to your model instruction manual! 2) Clean and rinse with water, as follows:* - Exhaust filter (outside to inside water flow) - Pre filter (inside out or any direction) - Large dust separator (any direction) *refer to your instruction manual to identify what direction water should flow on each filter, and to ensure your filters can be rinsed!!! 3) Let fully dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. (Doing so before fully dry may result in mildew and more odor) It’s as easy as that! My vacuum doesn’t smell like dog anymore, the battery lasts longer, and the suction power is like it’s brand new!!!!
