@gorilla_content1: The worlds only known albino gorilla to exist named “Snowflake” became a worldwide sensation in 1967 when he was put on the cover of “National Geographic Magazine”. At a young age he was stolen from his family in 1966 then sent to the Barcelona zoo in Spain. Where he drew lots of attention. During snowflakes first 11 months in Barcelona he lived with the zoo’s vet “Dr Roman Luera i Carbó” and his wife “Maria Gracia” in their apartment. It was said that he could understand spanish and acted very much like a human child. Snowflake stayed at the Barcelona Zoo in Spain for the remainder of his life until 2003 where he was euthanized due to skin cancer complications which was almostly certainly related to his albinism. To this day he has four kids, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren still living. And only one of his great grandchildren shows a sign of partial albinism on their fingers #albinism #westernlowlandgorilla #barcelona #spain
