When will it be their turn? 🥺💔 Even after their video was seen by hundreds of thousands of people, not one of our older gentleman found their forever home or foster home 😔 These beautiful souls are still the oldest dogs currently waiting at our shelter 🥺 Sadly, they are being overlooked because of their age 💔 And if they are a bigger dog, like our handsome boy Bernard, it makes it twice as hard to get adopted 😔 Bernard is calm, kind, and has the softest little smile that will make you melt. He enjoys playing ball, but as a bigger, older guy, he also knows when it’s time to take a break and rest his legs. He gets along with other dogs and loves people. He is patient, affectionate, and perfectly content just being near the people he loves ❤️ Many mature pups have had families and know what a loving home feels like, including beautiful Azul 🙏 He doesn’t understand why he has been given up and is spending his golden years in a lonely kennel 🥺 Azul is great with adults, kids, and other dogs. This wonderful guy is so affectionate, playful and loving, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him ❤️ 7-year-olds Nick and Scout were transferred from overcrowded shelters where they were being overlooked by adopters 🥺 Their pasts are a mystery, but what we do know is these two fellows are sweet and loving, and are ready to have loving families of their own 🙏 Can you please open your heart and home to one of our older dogs? 🙏 They will love you like no other ❤️   If you cannot adopt, please share their post or consider donating to their care through our link in bio 🙏   If you are able to adopt or foster one of our older dogs, please fill out an application online (link is in bio) and then come to the shelter to meet them ❤️   The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions call 954-989-3977.
