We don’t have the words that will express our heartbreak from not being able to help those in need. We’ve been on the streets for more than a decade, going out of our way to rescue every animal in need, and we have NEVER turned our heads away from a single soul. Those of you that are here longer know that we’re maxed out of space in our shelter that is practically tearing down. ❄️ In the winter, our dogs are wet and cold, no water for drinking and cleaning because it’s always frozen, not to mention that our volunteers don’t have a proper space to warm up when they’re outside for over 8 hours. ☀️ In summer, our dogs are extremely hot, we don’t have enough houses for each to be protected, never enough money for treatments against parasites in summer. 👉 Early this year we bought 12,000m² of land with the hope we will have enough finances to build a new and bigger shelter with a goal to create more space for new rescues and a decent work environment for our volunteers. But with 250+ animals on our shoulders to take care of, unpaid bills for food and rent, and daily new rescues - it feels almost impossible to make it. We’re in a position where we have to choose between paying our bills and keeping our current shelter that’s becoming a nightmare or limiting ourselves with rescuing and risking losing our current shelter by paying for building a new shelter on our new land. 😖 We can’t do both, and certainly, our hearts won’t survive if we are put in a position where we have to turn our heads on animals in need.
