Just put a 175 180 thermostat in it fix your problem did it with my c4 and do the fans to 215 220

Wire the fans to your own relays so they stay on high.. Use water wetter in your coolant. It works

I don’t doubt it, It ain’t as bad my my C3’s vacuum everything options haha I’ve seen plenty of “good” vac lines be leaky!

Had a 93 C4. 1st cooling fan doesn’t come on til 227°F. 2nd fan comes on at 235°F.

It doesn’t help that the gauge reads around 30 degrees hotter than it actually is. When I first bought my C4 I thought it was serverely overheating

It's all well and good until you have to Burp it. My LT1 Roadmaster ran around 220 in the summer... so stressful

You are correct, my dad was a dealer mechanic back when these were new. His input was they did it for emissions. He recommended a lower T stat (1)

I got so paranoid on mine I installed a manual radiator switch. If I’m idling in deep traffic I cut it on at 215. I’ve been hurt before..never again

Electric water pump, electric fans and you are set, it runs a lot less hot. It actually runs slower and lower emissions when hotter like that. Still bad on the engine
