@itsalicenicholls: SUNLIGHT VIEWING ON OVERCAST DAYS IS ESPECIALLY ESSENTIAL • - I would place getting morning sunlight in your eyes in the top three of all health promoting practices just behind regular exercise and sleep. Nutrition is of course critical as well. - One issue I hear often is that people say there is “no sun” where they live. There is always sun. Sometimes it is shrouded by cloud cover but in that case simply double the amount of sunlight exposure you get to your eyes in the morning. In fact on overcast days it can be very bright it’s just that the photon energy is scattered. - If you wake up before the sun comes out turn on artificial lights as bright as you can and then get outside once the sun comes up. Keep in mind you do not have to see the actual sunrise across the horizon. Just try to get some sunlight viewing while the sun is still low in the sky. The benefits for mood, metabolism, sleep, etc. are tremendous and supported by dozens if not hundreds of studies. - Also, remember to blink. Never look at any light, sunlight or otherwise, that it’s painful. If you miss a day no big deal; just double the amount of sun exposure the next day. And take care/guard your skin as needed. (People vary in their need for sunscreen). - #health #GlowUp #healthy #weightloss #nutrition
