Signs of ancient technology in Egypt | How did the ancients fit these MASSIVE blocks together? At the magnificent megalithic Valley Temple which is next to the Great Sphinx. The granite blocks are massive, cut with precision and interlock without mortar. The style is very similar to what you will see in Peru such as Sacsayhuamán. Inside the temple it is very similar to the Osireion in Abydos and you can’t help but feel that both of these ‘temples’ are somehow connected…both are devoid of inscriptions, there’s no ego and the feel very functional. Each block is manipulated with such precision it looks like a massive 3D jigsaw puzzle and they look moulded to form and bent to fit around the corners. The Valley Temple and Sphinx Temple next door were most likely created way before Khafre and are perhaps the oldest monuments on the Giza Plateau. The limestone used for Valley Temple was quarried from around the Sphinx so if we are to believe the geological dating of the Sphinx by Robert Schoch that would make it 10,000 years old.
