Scott Lewis :
wouldn't a magnetized rod help pull the piston back down instead of relying on the piston return springs

Built engine for over 54 years basically what happens is when that rod moves back and forth there is a thing called I have no idea

Missing key ground points from engine to frame or to battery. Always put grounds back to engine

Go to YouTube and search “Rockwell Retro Encabulator”, this explains it 👍

this is absolutely hilarious, I have a machine shop. our demagnatizer is 110v and 1 amp. does the same thing 100% lol.

I used to work for Jasper Engines and transmissions. I seen this hundreds of times. it happens alot on transmission input and output shafts also

You can also magnetized something if needed by facing it, north-south, and hitting it on the end with a hammer

Friction and mechanical tension may be the root cause

Almost every time you machine steel (and sometimes even stainless steel) in a lathe or a mill you end up accidentally magnetizing it a little bit..

Happens during the machining process. I used to make tons of these. We demag them after machining.

Electrolysis, it’s from spinning for so long. This also will happen to a brass prop on a ship. Yes the brass will draw a magnet.
