My adult son ref’s in a non Hockey 🇨🇦 youth league. If a ref kicks a coach/parent out, your team gets fined. They have a low ref turnover. Low abuse

Hockey has been a big part of my life - as a player,ref,coach and parent.Definitely worse. Lack of perspective has become so much more prevalent.

A lot of bad Refs in the GTHL and it starts with their officiating program. Hockey Canada should learn from Rugby Canada. Those refs are respected !

Ontario Canada had a training video to teach people how not to act to officials. Waiver agreement sign can be removed from building even banned 😁

I mean you don’t need refs with how trash they call games anyways. Probably safer for players to just make the calls.

Can’t speak for hockey….but it really is based on the youth football programs….some emphasis good sportsmanship- others are out of control
