@matts_wax: Credence Clearwater Revival - The 20 Greatest Hits (1976) I believe this was the first song I ever heard from CCR. If not the first, it was certainly the first one I really connected with. Maybe I heard “Down on the Corner” or “Bad Moon Rising” in a movie or commercial, but it was “Fortunate Son” in Jamie Thomas’ part in the Zero Skateboards video “New Blood” that really put the CCR bug in my ear. I like how CCR has just enough country twang in their music but not too much that it scares me away (I’m sure you’ve picked up by now on my disdain for country music).
