Lead to a Crohn’s diagnosis after 8 years of being told I have IBS; would never have been offered a colonoscopy if I didn’t do the calprotectin test

I had the FIT test then referred to colonoscopy. Just a heads up to anyone that's had C-section or surgery on tummy, watch out for scar tissue 😬 ...

Colonoscopy is only applicable in people with active inflammation in the colon, however crohns disease can impact small bowel. MRI is a good option.

Calprotectin helps us identify inflammation in your gut. Please leave a comment or share experiences if you have ever had this done or having it done.
