Anthropic signed a contract paying 1.25 billion dollars per month through 2029 — 45 billion dollars total — to access Colossus for training and running Claude AI. Every Claude query processed during that contract term routes through SpaceX infrastructure. Google signed a separate deal for 920 million dollars monthly. SpaceX built a rocket company and then discovered that the supercomputer it needed for its AI subsidiary was worth more per month in rental income than most companies generate in a year.
