I think you missed his point of 2 equipment lines. Aaron you sure have an impressive equipment line that alot of people can't afford.

we never invested in a chopper for a 50 cow dairy, but baleage made a lot of sense. the custom work that comes with it. the easy use.

as many ways to Dairy, Farm or Ranch as there are producers. it's what fits the situation for that operation.

Very much agree with you! I’ve chopped hay by myself by the time you mow, merge, chop, run wagons, you get about nothing done but running

Ideally corn silage and good dry hay is the most economical but wi weather is wonky.

I used up be on a small dairy. we did pea/ barley silage, and you needed 2 tractors and 2 trucks min. and a person in each one.

when I had my dairy, chopping was the way to go but the land I picked up 5+ miles down the rd bailage worked best.

Everyone’s situation is different. I like silage because it helps put weight on better and get 4 times tonnage per acre. Balege not a good fit for me

CS is a lot easier on equipment than haylage, that's why I chop corn and wrap baleage. Then I can feed 1sr, 2nd, or 3rd as I please.

Agreed 100%. I have 40 head of beef and 40 acres of marginal pasture. Baleage works the most efficiently making and feeding

With the chopper we have we can only chop hay at 3-4mph nor do we have a merger or a rake with rubber teeth so we chop single rows. With my baler I

Takes an army to chop haylage. We can do it with 2 people in a pinch but 3 is ideal with making baleage
