Once and to all :
I hate it when they say that there’s no more room in the overhead bins and they make you gate check your back when reality you’re in the plane you see there’s a lot of space open ! Irritated me!!!

tehehe I will almost ALWAYS volunteer for this as long as my layover is long enough for it to transfer. I always pack everything I actually want on the plane in my personal item.

from my experience if your arriving at a delta hub they return it on the jetbridge and if not they send it to baggage claim
