duvets are more common now than when I was little. just comforters where the whole thing gets washed. the first duvets I saw here were fancy

actually in most places, to legally be listed as a bedroom it has to have a closet. otherwise it is an office\bonus room

fun fact some builders add a bonus room that has a space for a closet but no door. that way it's not legally a bedroom.
