@melwwebb: Finally got round to editing my unpacking video from the AR700 — a 700km singletrack intensive bikepacking race through the Canadian Rockies. I personally love videos where folks unpack their bikes and show where they carried all their items so thought I’d make my own. I wanted to try going “fast and light” for this event — it was short and low consequence enough that if I was missing any items I might be uncomfortable but always safe. With the volume of single track, I opted not to run a handlebar bag as I find it obstructs my view of the front wheel and I spook easier at features or obstacles when I can’t see my wheel. I can’t say I *loved* sleeping in an e-bivvy (the first night was COLD) but it got the job done and I would do it again for an event of this length. TBH I didn’t plan on sleeping as much as I did, but I’m pretty scared of the woods at night and struggled to make progress in the nights that merited skipping out on rest and sleep. #bikepacking #bikepackracing #ultracycling #ultrarace #mountainbike #bikepackinggear #cannondale #cannondalescalpel #apidura
