super interesting, btw вокзал is pronounced ‘vakzahl’ because the stress is on the ‘a’, and in russian, all unstressed ‘o’s are pronounced ‘a’

Вокзал is actually nothing to do with Vauxhall. Two near by Bolshoy theatre streets are called Vokzhalniy in memory, but not all train stations 😂
