If there is water nearby, consider putting up bat boxes in the trees! They really help with pest problems too and they’re losing habitat!

put a few and ducks and chooks they continuously turn the mulch for you whilst getting rid of any pests and they turn your compost pile.

Check with local tree cutting companies, many provide the wood chips for free!

the most common "mulch gardening" myth is that wood chips break down and release nutrients. wood chips do break down but they actually tie up nitrogen while they do.

My favorite method is to just dump everything organic out there. Food scrapes? Garden. Tea leaves? Garden.
