In my experience the lack of reliability comes when you start modifying the engine, keep it stock and maintained, no issues prematurely

I believe the subaru sowing machine noise is actually the injectors. If so, prolube won't quiet them down.

if it does work I wonder if there are any long term effects from using it like damage to other parts. I just don't believe in the stuff honestly
