yoy can also put a wet paper towel next to your cutting board so the spicy goes to that water and not your eye water

the enzyme that makes your eyes watered is attracted and bonds to water which is why it travels to your eyes. put a wet cloth beside the cutting board

If you cut the union more instead of chopping it a buch of times, it reduces the stress on the union ans releases less gass that hurts your eyes 😏
