@dollartreedinners: Food Pantry Meal Ideas 1-One Pot Pasta Chop any vegetable of choice and sautee in some oil, salt and pepper. Add cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, or cream of anything soup and canned chicken or tuna. Add 1 cup of macaroni or any pasta and 2 cups of water or broth. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes stirring occassionally until pasta is cooked. 2-One pot rice skillet Chop any vegetable and meat you have and sautee in oil, salt and pepper. Add 2 cups of white rice and 4 cups of water or broth. Season with anything you have on hand. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer for 15 minutes, and let rest for 15 minutes undisturbed. 3-Anything goes soup (to use up any ingredients left near the end of the week) Chop any vegetable and meat you have and sautee in oil, salt and pepper. Cover with water and simmer for as long as you can to make a stock/broth. Add in any canned ingredients you have, vegetables, beans, pasta sauce, etc. and season to taste with anything you have on hand.
