@ginahaweswatercolors: Just finished this leather rebind of the first three Wizard of Oz books (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz; The Marvelous Land of Oz; Ozma of Oz). My favorite thing about this rebind is that it features the same text, color plates and illustrations as the original early editions including all the gorgeous artwork from W. W. Denslow and John R. Neill. All three books are such lovely, entertaining reads—especially the deadly poppy fields which is my favorite scene from the movie. I had enormous fun painting the movie characters on the side and am very happy with how the hidden fore-edge paintings came out. I didn’t think it was possible to paint on color book pages that have a satin glossy sheen, but it’s definitely possible and worth the extra effort!
