I’m scared for vet med as we inch closer and closer to the human healthcare model of insurance…

Our family didn’t have insurance, I don’t know your take on insurance, but my parents had and paid for 7 deliveries and all medical, middle class.

Well, medi/medi has a ways to go before I say they’re efficient. But better than some.

Absolutely and unfortunately the insurance lobby keeps the general public fearful of any change.

Does that include ceo's lobbying and people to argue with the doctor's office about coverage?

Do these figures take into consideration that Medicare and Medicaid partner with private insurance companies to administer benefits?

Though I do agree that widespread public insurance would be a great idea there are a few things to think about in this hypothetical system. Firstly you must take into account the price and percent of each per capita as the larger public entity will have more clients and therefore a greater impact on numbers. Secondly by instituting a 100% generalized system would create a monopoly which isn’t exactly the best idea for the little guys. Thirdly if the entire country lived off of this singular insurance company lead by the government then the government should just remove insurance and medical costs entirely which would help balance finances and lead America to a more wealthy future. And lastly even if we did have a 100% widespread healthcare plan there would most definitely be people who resent the government and systems ran by it who would reject the help which in turn stops them from getting the help they need. But finally you do have good points and I give you credit for that and you’re a very wise person. Keep being awesome and stay smart friend.🤑

If we have job based insurance now and migrate to public insurance, do you think corps will give their employees raises when they sav millions?
