👇Details here👇 There’s so much more to do on Isle of Mull, so FOLLOW us to see the part 2! We spent 3 days on the Isle and it didn’t feel long enough 🥹 To get to Isle of Mull, you need to take a ferry ⛴️ trip from Oban, via the Calmac Ferries. Our cost with the Motorhome 🚐 was around £53 for 2 adults and 2 children. If going on foot or in a smaller car it will cost less. Look for the route Oban to Craignure. From the Craignure ferry terminal, you have a 30 minute drive to Tobermory, the main town. There used to be a children’s TV show called Balamory based on Tobermory, and ran from 2002-2005, featuring the beautiful colorful buildings at the harbor. Before you get to Tobermory though, do a pit stop at the Salen ships 🛥️ where you get to see and photograph 3 ships/boats abandoned since the 1970s. These are 17 mins from the ferry terminal. The Tobermory Distillery was founded in 1798, and offer tours showing how they distill their famous whisky 🥃 and gin. A few other shops to visit would be the Tobermory Handmade Chocolate 🍫 and the Isle of Mull Ice Cream🍦 🏘️ From Tobermory, drive another 5 minutes to get to the Glassbarn Cafe ☕️ and Isle of Mull Cheese 🧀 . The cafe serves lunch as well after 12. Their cake 🍰 selection is to die for 😋 Don’t forget to check out the little shop for their amazing locally produced cheeses and spirits, or even do a tour of their farm! 🏖️ Head to Calgary Beach next, the drive is 36 minutes on a very windy single track Road. We did want to go in for a dip but it was kind of a cold day and sprinkling 🌧️ off and on, so we just let the kids play in the sand and simply admired it 🤩 💦 Eas Fors Waterfall is 33 minutes away from Calgary Beach, and it is so worth checking out! If you enjoy cold plunges you could probably even swim in it as there are little pools of water. There are 3 levels to the waterfall.
