That’s exactly what happened to me. Type 1, my ex didn’t know he had it and didn’t show signs of it on his lips but transferred it to me down there

My ex had cold sores as a kid, and I kept having them as adult also. After 15 years together he got primary infection to his mouth from me.

i get herpes in my eyes mostly. i’ve lost vision because of an ulcer caused by an outbreak. i’ve always had other places but the eyes are main spots
