@vincentchanco: When billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, despite donating large sums to charity, often still retain control of the money they give away. For example, when Mark Zuckerberg pledged to donate 99% of his Facebook shares, they were placed in an LLC he owns, allowing him to use the funds for various purposes, including supporting his own businesses or political interests. This setup also provides tax advantages, making it a strategic move for them.

I thought there is a rule that 70% of donated funds need to be spent on charity goal and 10% of asset is required to be spent yea to maintain status.

OMG Im absolutely dumbfiunded that everyone didn't know a way to reduce your taxable income is to donate to a charity. don't people learn that from just dropping stuff off at Goodwill? you always get the receipt so you can claim it on your taxes.
