When I embarked on this project last year (30 hyperreal drawings in 30 consecutive days) there were many subjects I had never drawn hyperrealistically before. I had never drawn a hyperrealistic mushroom, or a fish, a bird, or ivy, or paint, or the MOON. I am being totally honest when I say I didn’t know how these were going to turn out. Each day was a baptism of fire. Having said all that, I felt pretty confident. The process I use when doing these drawings is structured and repeatable. There is an order of operation which I know works time and again. So whilst it was scary, daunting, and UNKNOWN, I also deep down knew it would be ok. And it was ok! And I pulled of each drawing in one day! I love all of these drawings so much. Thanks to everyone who followed along for the entire month, cheering me on and giving me the strength to keep going.
