@theeverydayretreat: ✨My recipe for an ideal meditation space👇🏻 ✨Solitude: Find a quiet corner of your home with lots of natural light where you can be alone. ✨Mood: Candles, incense and/or palo santo sticks are some of my favorites ways to transform a space. ✨Comfort: Big cushy pillows to sit or lay on. (The more comfortable you are the easier it will be to sit for longer periods of time.) ✨Clothing: Loose fitting cozy clothes are ideal for the same reason noted above. ✨Sound: Sometimes sitting in absolute silence is difficult (or nearly impossible if you’re living with a child or in an apartment) ambient sounds are my favorite way to drown out background noises that can be distracting. A fan can also work well too. . I find that intentionality does a lot for separating a chaotic, mentally scattered meditation from a more grounded, focused meditation. Taking the time to properly set up your space ahead of time can make all the difference. .
