In two months (Nov. 27-28) the skies of Chiang Mai, Thailand will light up like a sky full of stars ✨🥺 Here is some info you need to know if you’re planning to to experience the magical Yi Peng Lantern Festival this year✨ I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I experienced this magical event 🥺 it was definitely worth it and I can’t highly recommend you to experience it once in your life 💫 💡For those that haven't heard of it; Yi Peng is a festival unique to northern Thailand which is celebrated on the full moon of the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar (usually in November). It is celebrated to mark the end of the monsoon season and the beginning of the cool season and as a way to release negative energy and wish for good luck and good fortune in the coming year by releasing paper lanterns in the sky. The festival is also one of the ancient traditions to honor Buddha in order to gain merit 📍Chiang Mai, Thailand🇹🇭 🗓️ Nov. 27th-28th, 2023 🎟️Price for mass lanterns release event starts at 4600 Baht (125€).
