@babycenter: There's a lot of misinformation out there right now about folic acid, folate, and methylfolate – and which one to take during pregnancy. OBGYN and BabyCenter Medical Advisor @Layan Alrahmani, MD explains that folic acid is the only supplement proven to lower the risk of neural tube defects in babies. #pregnancy #pregnancytok #folicacid #prenatal #prenatalvitamin #pregnancytips #firsttimemom #folicacidpreventbirthdefects #folicacidinpregnancy
why don't you mention natural folate? why don't you talk about how folic acid becomes folate and what happens when those enzymes run out and what those enzymes were originally for?

You’re so wrong. Folic acid is synthetic there is no need for people to take it. It is linked to the MTHFR gene break. It isn’t found anywhere on earth. People should take Folate. No argument.

if you have the gene you cannot process the folic acid. it will build up and cause problems. conventional medicine practioners are liars.
