However, the key here is to frame your honesty in a positive light rather than a negative one. Not only is it bad to paint your ex in a bad light, but it can also have a way of painting you in a bad light. Now I’m not denying the facts of what may or may not have happened in your past relationship, but when you discuss them from a place of hurt rather than wisdom, it can come across as bitter and unhealed. This will not improve the comnection.
